Trumpet
Three Moods for Trumpet, Trombone and Piano
William Pardus
$19.95
Three Moods for Trumpet, Trombone and Piano was written in the Fall of 2007 as an entry in The International Trumpet Guild's annual composition competition. The work is in three movements - the first and third are set in a somewhat rhythmic style while the longer and slower second movement is in a "brooding" style with both of the brasses using bucket mutes for most of the movement. While the work is basically tonal, a "contemporary feel" is achieved through a mix of tertial and quartal harmonies, both between the brass and in the very active piano part.
solo parts included: trumpet in Bb, trombone
