Commissioned by Jeff Reynolds (former bass trombone, Los Angeles Philharmonic) and premiered with the LA Phil in 1997. Originally for bass trombone and orchestra, this version is for bass trombone and piano. This is an incredible piece for the bass trombone, as it is not only a concerto but all a great musical composition. Requires a very advanced player with great command of all ranges of the instrument.
