Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah (2 eu, 2 tu)
Camille Saint-Saens/arr. Wilson
French composer, Camille Saint-Saens composed Samson and Delilah in 1877. The Bacchanale takes place in the Temple of Dagon during the final scene of the opera. Samson is brought in at the conclusion of the frenzied dance, where mocked by dancers and Delilah, he pulls down the roof of the temple upon his enemies and himself. This arrangement for tuba euphonium ensemble or quartet with optional percussion was done by tubist, Kenyon Wilson.
